Why June?
Pride Month happens every June because of the Stonewall uprising in 1969. When police raided a gay bar in New York City, the community fought back, and those nights of protest kicked off the modern LGBTQ+ rights movement. We mark June to honor that history, celebrate how far we've come, and stay honest about the work that's left.
Beyond June
Our support doesn't get packed away with the flags on July 1st. We're an LGBT-owned business, so this community is part of who we are all year. If you want to get involved closer to home, check out Longmeadow Pride. They do great work for LGBTQ+ folks right here in our area.

15% of June profits to ocean conservation
Every new project committed in June helps protect the world's oceans. We donate 15% of the month's profits, split evenly between three leading nonprofits. It's automatic, and it stacks with the Pride Month discount.
June is also National Ocean Month. The ocean gives us a lot, from the air we breathe to a stable climate to the coastal towns and jobs that depend on it. It's a good time to remember why the ocean is worth looking after, and to do something about it.

Founded by Boyan Slat in 2013, The Ocean Cleanup builds passive ocean systems and river 'Interceptors' that catch plastic before it spreads. Their cleanup of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch aims to remove 90% of floating ocean plastic.

Founded in 2001, Oceana is the largest international advocacy group devoted entirely to the oceans. It runs focused, science-based campaigns that win national policy reforms, from rebuilding fisheries to protecting habitats and curbing single-use plastic.

The Washington, D.C. nonprofit behind the International Coastal Cleanup, the world's largest volunteer effort for ocean health. Ocean Conservancy pairs peer-reviewed science with policy to take on plastic pollution, overfishing, and a warming, acidifying ocean.
